What We Believe at SISTER Ministries
At SISTER Ministries, we are rooted in core biblical beliefs that shape our mission to serve women impacted by incarceration. Our Christian faith is based on the following foundational truths:
The Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God—perfect in its original languages and without error. It is the ultimate source of truth and the sole authority for the Christian life and doctrine.
God is the one true and living Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Sovereign Ruler of the universe. He is infinitely holy, perfect, and eternal—revealed to humanity as the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of all people, was physically resurrected, appeared to His disciples, and ascended into Heaven, where He now reigns at the right hand of God the Father.
Salvation is God’s free gift to sinners. All people have sinned and are separated from God, but eternal life is available to all who place their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, transforming them into a new creation in Christ. The Spirit unites believers into the Body of Christ and equips each one with spiritual gifts to serve and strengthen the Church.
The Church is the body of Christ, with Jesus as its head. Believers are commanded to love God fully, proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations, and make disciples around the world.
The Return of Christ is our blessed hope. Jesus will come again to gather His Church and bring believers into eternal fellowship with Him.
